Hey Everyone, sorry that it has been awhile since I last did one of these. But here we are with WWW Wednesday, this was originally hosted by A Daily Rhythm, and revived by Taking on a World of Words!
So the idea of this post is to answer these three main questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you will read next?
What are you currently reading?

So currently I am starting to re-read the Dark artifices series by Cassandra Clare because of the release of Queen of Air and Darkness. The third and last instalment in this series. I am a bit behind in reading it because of art school. I am the type of person that when a new book comes out in a series I have to start from the beginning before reading the latest book. I am almost half way through with this one and I am remembering all over again why I loved this series when I first read it when they were first released. Have you read this series? what did you think of it?

Fall in love, break the curse.
It once seemed so easy to Prince Rhen, the heir to Emberfall. Cursed by a powerful enchantress to repeat the autumn of his eighteenth year over and over, he knew he could be saved if a girl fell for him. But that was before he learned that at the end of each autumn, he would turn into a vicious beast hell-bent on destruction. That was before he destroyed his castle, his family, and every last shred of hope.
Nothing has ever been easy for Harper Lacy. With her father long gone, her mother dying, and her brother barely holding their family together while constantly underestimating her because of her cerebral palsy, she learned to be tough enough to survive. But when she tries to save someone else on the streets of Washington, DC, she’s instead somehow sucked into Rhen’s cursed world.
Break the curse, save the kingdom.
A prince? A monster? A curse? Harper doesn’t know where she is or what to believe. But as she spends time with Rhen in this enchanted land, she begins to understand what’s at stake. And as Rhen realizes Harper is not just another girl to charm, his hope comes flooding back. But powerful forces are standing against Emberfall . . . and it will take more than a broken curse to save Harper, Rhen, and his people from utter ruin.
I instantly fell in love with this book before I read it, I was dying to read it for 2 reasons.
- Brigid Kemmerer is my favourite author, her books ‘Letters to the lost’ and ‘More than we can tell’ got me out of my reading slump that I was in for a long time.
- AND because its retelling of my all time favourite fairy tale; BEAUTY AND THE BEAST! This fairy tale was a favourite for me since I was a baby, I just love it, its. gorgeous story!
When I finally got my hands on this book I could not stop reading it, I read it so fast, faster than I had ever read any book lately. I fell love it! It was just amazing! I will have my review up soon!
It is definitely worth the read it is truly magical. A tale as old as time!

After I finish reading The Dark Artifices series I think I will mix it up a bit and read a Young Adult contemporary book. I love reading these genres, I adore them so much! I’m a sucker for corny stories!
Beautiful Broken Things by Sara Barnard has been on my list to read since my partner got it for me for Valentines Day, so I need to read it!
Goodreads Description below:
I was brave
She was reckless
We were trouble
Best friends Caddy and Rosie are inseparable. Their differences have brought them closer, but as she turns sixteen Caddy begins to wish she could be a bit more like Rosie – confident, funny and interesting. Then Suzanne comes into their lives: beautiful, damaged, exciting and mysterious, and things get a whole lot more complicated. As Suzanne’s past is revealed and her present begins to unravel, Caddy begins to see how much fun a little trouble can be. But the course of both friendship and recovery is rougher than either girl realises, and Caddy is about to learn that downward spirals have a momentum of their own.
